CLASSIC HIP HOP SHOWS & PARTIES TAPES 1976-1983

The early days of Disco and Hip Hop Culture from 1976-1983 was the richest and purest part of the culture. Before the  records were recorded all of the pioneers did shows or jams as we used to call them back in the day. Visual videos or films were limited however; there were many photos that were taken back then.  The audio of all these shows were the main marketing tools that helped spread the word on what was going on in New York. As you can see, it eventually spread all over the world. Also you had the mobile disco dj who also started playing the hip hop breakbeats as well when times started to change.

The Show Tapes were recorded on cassette tapes and 35 years later they are still loved by many because it is vintage. Here is a collection of the early jams of HIP HOP and remember the quality is what it is because it was recorded on cassette tapes! Much Props to TROY L. SMITH for being the Hip Hop Tape Pioneers for  his collection. ENJOY VANSILK
