
The life of AUDREY WHEELER is indeed fascinating--former beauty pageant queen, top shelf session singer, member of Unlimited Touch who released two solo albums, one of which, LET IT BE ME, has been reissued on CD with bonus tracks. Today, music fans know her as the wife of fellow singer Will Downing. In between tours with the Men of Soul and Chaka Khan, Audrey sat down with Kevin Goins “The Soul Ninja” for this telephone interview.

But Carolyn had an advantage – she knew each member personally. And for good reason – she’s the daughter of singer Carrie Lucas & Solar Records founder Dick Griffey (Shalamar & Mom Carrie were on the label’s roster). Years after she recorded with her own duo Absolute (for Solar).

Longtime Philly singer/songwriter BARBARA MASON and her music provided the soundtrack for love, romance, and relationships since 1965, starting with her first and biggest hit, “Yes I’m Ready.” As her audience matured, so did the subject matter of Barbara’s music - which at times bordered on love triangles (“From His Woman To You”), and “alternative lifestyles” (“Another Man”)...

It’s been over twenty five years since singer/songwriter MELI’SA MORGAN released her debut album, DO ME BABY, on Capitol Records.
