Vanessa Bell Calloway is a stage, screen, and television actress who has earned eight NAACP Image Award nominations. Calloway is best known for her roles in the box office smashes Coming to America, What’s Love Got to Do With It, Biker Boyz, Love Don’t Cost a Thing, Daylight, The Inkwell, Crimson Tide, The Brothers, Cheaper by the Dozen, and The Temptations. She voiced the lead female role in the animated feature Bebe’s Kids.

Calloway has also exhibited her versatility as creator, writer, and executive producer of this reality-based web series, Vanessa Bell Calloway: In The Company of Friends. The show invites the viewing audience to intimate gatherings hosted by Vanessa in her home. Beverly Bond, has blazed trails in the music, entertainment and social entrepreneurship industries. Her body of work, across sectors, has made her one of the most celebrated DJ’s, and social innovators of our time.

In 2006 Bond founded BLACK GIRLS ROCK! a youth empowerment mentoring organization. Bond simultaneously created the annual BLACK GIRLS ROCK! In 2010, Beverly Bond partnered with BET to share her BLACK GIRLS ROCK! vision with the rest of the world. As the creator and executive producer of the televised show, Bond crafted a program that was groundbreaking in its approach to exhibiting the breadth and depth of talent celebrated by women in the African Diaspora. The premiere of BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Awards on BET, was magnanimous in regards to its motivational impact as well, drawing an impressive 2.7 million viewers and commanding the No. 1 spot on the chart for Black households. Adding to its success, the BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Awards received an NAACP Image Award for outstanding Variety Series or Special.

MC Lyte (born Lana Michele Moorer; October 11, 1970) is an American rapper who first gained fame in the late-1980s becoming the first solo female rapper to release a full album with 1988's critically acclaimed Lyte as a Rock. She has long been considered one of hip-hop's pioneer feminists.

 

Desirée Glapion Rogers (born June 16, 1959, in New Orleans, Louisiana) is an American business executive who is the Chief Executive Officer of Johnson Publishing Company. In November 2008 she was selected by Barack Obama's office as the White House Social Secretary for the incoming administration, the first person of African-American descent to serve in this function. On February 26, 2010, the Chicago Sun-Times′ Lynn Sweet reported that she planned to step down. Rogers was replaced by Julianna Smoot, former chief of staff to the U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk. Smoot was the Obama presidential campaign chief fund-raiser. On August 10, 2010, Rogers was named CEO of Johnson Publishing Company.

Rogers is a board member of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, the Northwestern Memorial Foundation and The Polk Foundation.

Starting the foundation was a natural progression that is currently providing scholarship and mentorship to 12 amazingly gifted young ladies.

María de la Soledad Teresa O'Brien (born September 19,  is an American broadcast journalist, executive producer, and philanthropist. She is the chairman of Starfish Media Group, a 360-media production company and distributor. O'Brien continues to be a television anchor and correspondent and lists CNN, HBO and their sports news program Real Sports and the Al Jazeera America news program America Tonight, among a growing list of networks she is working with through her Starfish Media Group. She also serves as executive producer and moderator of the National Geography Bee, replacing Alex Trebek who moderated for 25+ years

O’Brien anchored a CNN special, Black in America, in July 2007. The program documented the successes, struggles, and complex issues faced by black men, women and families 40 years after the death of Martin Luther King Jr.

Cynthia Horner former Right On Magazine Editor, 2014 Editor of Hip Hop Weekly. Cynthia M. Horner-Harris, pka Cynthia Marie Horner, is one of the most well-known and respected journalists in the entertainment industry. During her tenure as an editor, she has been responsible for creating and producing close to 500 issues of magazines appealing to the young adult market as this media specialist has had an illustrious career in the field of entertainment journalism.  A graduate of the Seaver College of Pepperdine University, in Malibu, California, her name is synonymous with many well-known entertainers, including the late Michael Jackson, his sister Janet Jackson, and their famous family. 

An entrepreneur, she is the founder of Cynthia Horner's Independent Production Services (Cinnamon CHIPS), under which she spearheads public relations projects and coordinates special events. Her clients have included authors  Terrie Williams and Dr. LaJoyce Brookshire, gospel artist Niyoki, fragrance spokesperson Jeannie Ortega, the Dare Records label, American Idol Paris Bennett and Grammy-nominated producer RedOne (Wyclef, Shakira and Lady Gaga fame). Currently, Cynthia Horner is the Editor-In-Chief Hip Hop Weekly Magazine, an award-winning glossy celebrity bi-weekly magazine where she covers celebrity news, music, film, TV, fashion and sports.  In addition, she is the celebrity editor of Word Up! Magazine and publishes its sister title, Right On!,  where she covers stars of interest to young adults, including Beyonce,  Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Mindless Behavior and others. 

Cynthia Horner is married to celebrity photographer Ken Harris, has one stepson, five godchildren and is considered “Aunt Cynthia” to such entertainers as Lloyd, Brandy and Mindless Behavior.

Vanessa K. Bush, a 20-year veteran of the magazine industry, is currently the Editor in Chief at Essence Magazine. Prior to this position, she was the Executive Editor at Essence, and served as Digital Editorial Manager of Food/Lifestyle Content at General Mills. She has also held various editorial posts at Essence, Life and Glamour magazines. Vanessa co-authored a best-selling beauty and empowerment book with model, entrepreneur and media icon Tyra Banks, Tyra’s Beauty Inside & Out, and is a past winner of a Merrill Journalism Fellowship in Child and Family Policy. Suzanne de Passe (born July 19, is an American television, music and film producer as well as the co-chairman of de Passe Jones Entertainment Group.

De Passe began her career at Motown as Creative Assistant to company founder, Berry Gordy.[2] Early in her career, de Passe helped bring the Jackson 5 to his attention during their time with Motown. She was instrumental in taking the record label to television with a host of critically acclaimed and highly rated specials, including the multiple award winning Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever produced while she was President of Motown Productions

De Passe served as Executive Producer of the half-hour, situation comedies, Sister, Sister and Smart Guy, both of which aired on the WB Network. Other work  The Temptations, NBC, four hours, 1998, de Passe Entertainment and The Jacksons: An American Dream, ABC, five hours, 1992.
